Fast & Fluid Management Asia hits shipment milestone of 100,000 units in India plant

Fast & Fluid Management Asia, a unit of IDEX Corporation, has marked a significant milestone with its plant at Vadodara, India crossing the impressive figure of shipping 100,000 units. That it comes in the middle of a challenging time like the pandemic makes the achievement even more worthy of celebrating.

Fast & Fluid Management Asia chose to launch production in India to keep pace with the ever-soaring demand for its products and focus more on customers from Asia, a market with huge potential. In addition to Asian markets, the plant also exports to North America, Europe, Middle East Africa, and Latin America. The company produces a complete range of paint dispensers, mixers, shakers, and software suitable for a wide range of applications, designed and developed in keeping with the regional market trends.

Soaring high

X-SMART, a paint dispenser, the first product to be rolled out from the company stable was followed by a successive series of products turning Fast & Fluid Management Asia into a major player in the paints and coatings industry in the Asian market. The company has scripted a steady growth trajectory from the very outset.

Team effort

A quick turnaround time of 12-14 months between design and production without compromising on quality remains one of the strong points of the company. Equal emphasis is laid on endurance testing, training to assembly technicians, and transition from design to manufacturing.

Empowering community

“In keeping with the motto of empowering the local community in the area we operate, IDEX India Foundation sponsored female education through Certified Course of Industrial Training Institute (ITI) FITTER Batch. This was the first such women batch ever in an Indian industry encouraging the local government to take it forward. We are also committed to developing these women employees once onboarded” said Chiragi Thakor, Director HR, Fast & Fluid Management Asia.

Fighting COVID blues

Fast & Fluid Management Asia also set a benchmark in overcoming the challenges posed by Covid-19 while putting the safety of its workforce before everything else. Standard Operating Procedures were evolved for the new normal and remain in force to date, along with effective management of the remote workforce. Apart from distributing PPE and first aid kits, the company ensured the mental wellbeing of employees with regular check-ins & communication during their pandemic.
